In spreadsheet Excel if you want to calculate square root, you would type: =SQRT(Number or Cell have number)
For Example: =SQRT(16)

For Example: =SQRT(A1)

Note: When you use SQRT function

Number is positive number that you wish to return the square root for.
If the negative number entered in the number parameter, the SQRT function will return the #NUM! error.
Example:  =SQRT(-16)
